šŸ“ How To Stand Out On A Resume šŸ–Š ā €ā €

āž”ļø There are all sorts of professional templates out there. Choose one that is visually appealing but also keeps your information organized. ā €

ā €

āž”ļø Myth debunked: ā€œresumes must be black and white and avoid color.ā€ Nowadays, you want to stand out and capture your reader! Colors is fine as long is it isnā€™t bright and overwhelming. Keep it neutral. ā €

ā €

āž”ļø Avoid overuse of ā€œfiller wordsā€ to fill in empty spaces. ā €

ā €

āž”ļø Keep it simple and basic. Limit to a page. If you have a page with tons of information, itā€™s going to overwhelm your reader. Remember: it takes about 10 seconds for a recruiter to read a resume!! Keep it minimal and just cover key information. ā €

ā €

āž”ļø In nursing resumes, put your most recent experience at the top and go in descending order. As a new grad, list your clinical rotations.ā €

ā €

āž”ļø Use bullet points to list out information. Easier to read and capture your audience.ā €
