This is intended for new NICU nurses to have a better understanding of the basics of NICU in a simple and easy to understand format. Focusing on topics including commonly seen admission diagnosis, terms, acronyms, guidelines on what to focus on for head to toe assessments, and common medications given in the NICU. It also includes other various information that may be helpful to you while you are working on the unit or prepping to work on the unit. You may also use this as a study tool or educational tool if you are interested in becoming a NICU nurse or have a family member or a child in the NICU, to understand what goes on in the NICU and to break down basic information.
